PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE – SUMMER 2023
FMAA/FMAF 2023 ANNUAL MEETINGS – THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2023
I encourage all FMAA members, whether you are an individual State member or belong to a county Alliance, to attend the 2023 FMAA and FMAF Annual Meetings on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club in Lakewood Ranch, FL. The Annual Meeting Committee, chaired by Angela Abrams and supported by members of the Sarasota County Medical Society Alliance, as well as Rosemary Xavier and Ellie Paladine, have an informative and fun meeting planned. Mix and mingle with FMAA members from throughout Florida and have a say in the future of your FMAA. Members can vote on proposed new FMAA and FMAF Bylaws and elect Officers, Directors and members of the Finance Committee and Governing Documents Committee. AMAA President, Rachael Kunesh will provide an AMAA update and will install our newly elected Officers and Directors. This year we welcome Robyn Faucy, the dynamic CEO of Results 1st, to provide some guidance on how the FMAA can build capacity with our current resources. Awards will be presented to County Alliances in several categories and outstanding individuals will be recognized. Tickets will also be available for a raffle to benefit the Florida Medical Alliance Foundation, to provide funding to support our grants to nonprofit health-related organizations.
I’ve always enjoyed attending the FMAA Annual Meeting to exercise my right to vote for our future, and also to meet again and renew friendships with members from throughout the state. So much of our organizational work takes place online, so I relish the opportunity to get together in person.
Please join me!
