Our Programs

We work with other state agencies to bring you state-wide health programs or legislative action.

Recognize someone you know who has made significant contributions to the family of medicine by nominating them for an award.

We award grants to qualifying individuals and organizations. There are four different types of grants:

Grassroots Legislative Activities

We work with the Florida Medical Association and the Florida Medical Association PAC to promote awareness, train members, and encourage them to contact their legislators on important bills affecting medicine.

Know All You Can Cards
We provide cards to help educate both parents and children on the dangers of substance abuse.

Medi-File Cards
We created the Medi-File card for patients who take one or more medications. This card is a helpful tool and reference guide that can be kept in one’s wallet at all times. In case of an emergency, and for routine medical appointments, this card can be an important and even lifesaving reference for ongoing or immediate treatment.

STD Awareness PSA Contest

We invite students aged 14-20 years to create a 15-second or 30-second Public Service Announcement (PSA) to inform others of STD facts. Entries are due March 15th by 11:59 p.m. EST. Winners are announced during STD Awareness Month in April .

Walk for Wellness

County Alliances plan low-maintenance Walks for Wellness to encourage their communities towards a path for improved health. Walks are held in January or February throughout the state.

About the FMA Alliance

For over 90 years, the FMA Alliance has supported Florida patients, physicians, and their families. We advance health-related endeavors and engage in legislative advocacy. Any spouse who is married to or partnered with a physician may join.
