Our Programs Our programs are developed and supported by the members of our organization through their volunteerism, donations, and with additional support from local, state or national agencies, county alliances and medical societies, or other providers or suppliers. Our members are dedicated to serving the health and well-being of the medical family and their local communities throughout Florida. We do this through educational state-wide awareness programs, legislative action, and other health related initiatives and projects. Health Projects and Awareness Programs
Walk for Wellness
We offer our County Alliances the support in planning a low-maintenance, casual gathering Walk for Wellness to encourage their local Medical Society and communities towards a path for improved health. Walks are held throughout the year. Additionally the State Alliance plans multiple Walks for Wellness in a variety of locations to engage our At-Large Members and their local community to join in the fun. Our FMAA Walk for Wellness Program is open to all Alliance members, their families, friends and community and is appropriate for all ages.
In support of April being STD Awareness Month we invite students aged 14-20 years to create a 15-second or 30-second Public Service Announcement (PSA) to inform others of STD facts. Entries are due on or before August 15th by 11:59 p.m. EST. Winners are announced at Annual Meeting.
