Our Programs

Our programs are developed and supported by the members of our organization through their volunteerism, donations, and with additional support from local, state or national agencies, county alliances and medical societies,  or other providers or suppliers.  Our members are dedicated to serving the health and well-being of the medical family and their local communities throughout Florida. We do this through educational state-wide awareness programs, legislative action, and other health related initiatives and projects. Contact us for more information on our programs at info@myfmaa.org

Health Projects and Awareness Programs

Walk for Wellness

We offer our County Alliances the support in planning a low-maintenance, casual gathering  Walk for Wellness to encourage their local Medical Society and communities towards a path for improved health. Walks are held throughout the year. Additionally the State Alliance plans multiple Walks for Wellness in a variety of locations to  engage our At-Large Members and their local community to join in the fun.   Our FMAA Walk for Wellness Program is open to all Alliance members, their families, friends and community and is appropriate for all ages.

Medi-File Cards

We created the Medi-File card for patients who take one or more medications. This card is a helpful tool and reference guide that can be kept in one’s wallet at all times. In case of an emergency, and for routine medical appointments, this card can be an important and even lifesaving reference for ongoing or immediate treatment. Patients or physician offices may request our "free" Medi-File cards by contacting our offices at info@myfmaa.org or mailing our Request Form

STD Awareness PSA Contest

In support of April being STD Awareness Month we invite students aged 14-20 years to create a 15-second or 30-second Public Service Announcement (PSA) to inform others of STD facts. Entries are due on or before April 30th by 11:59 p.m. EST. Winners are announced May 15th.

Grassroots Legislative Activities

Our Legislation Committee in collaboration with the Florida Medical Association and the Florida Medical Association Political Action Committee (PAC) work with our members by providing tools, training and knowledge to help bring awareness and encourage our members to engage in the Legislative Issues that are important to medicine, our families, and the health of the citizens of Florida.  We can offer candidates Meet & Greets, support local fundraisers, contact our legislators on important and visit our state capitol to bring greater awareness of bills affecting medicine and health in Florida.

Other FMA Alliance Programs
